IoT transforming smart future Agriculture
NEED FOR SMART AGRICULTURE:
APPLICATIONS OF IOT IN AGRICULTURE:
- Robotics
- Drones
- Remote sensing
- Precision Farming
- Computer Imaging
Robotics:
Agribots are started working with farmers. These are used to solve the shortage of labors and to increase the production. It can also lift the materials and work along with farmers. They are used for harvesting, Machine navigation, weeding and handling materials.
Drones:
Drones are one of the major application used for an agriculture. For imaging the field cameras and sensors are attached with the drones. There are two types of drones.
- Aerial drones
- ground drones
Aerial drones are flying robots and ground drones are survey the fields on wheels.
The data gathered from the drones are condition of soil, health of crop, and yield prediction. It will also used to spray the seeds and fertilizers and plants conditions and counting.
Remote sensing:
Sensors are used to sense the insights of yields and gather the data. It will used to monitoring the crops will help to prevent the crop from spreading the diseases and soil conditions. It will used to collect the weather condition and temperature of fields.
Precision Farming:
The role of precision farming is analyzing the data and reacting to it. It will helps the farmers to take quick action according the analyzed results.
Imaging:
Cameras will capture the image of the fields at the different edges and camera where fixed to the drones to capture the computer image of a field. Digital image processing is used to imaging the input.
